日々の様子 Daily School Life

2学期もひと月が過ぎ、９月に入園されたお友達もすっかりスクールに慣れたようです。
それと共に日々のアクティビティーも盛りだくさんになり、新入生さんも積極的に参加されているご様子です。本日は各クラスで一番好評だったアクティビティーをご紹介します。

The first month of our second semester here at Beanstalk International School has passed, and everyone is relaxing and getting used to the routines of school. We have had a lot of activities going in at school day-to-day, and our new students are trying their best as well. Here are some of the fun activities we have done from each class.

ミッシーマウス•クラス(2-3歳児クラス)
みんなでお揃いのTシャツを作って、クラスがひとつにまとまりました!

Missy Mouse Class (2 and 3-year-olds)
We painted class T-shirts, creating a spirit of unity in our classroom.

ロビーラビット•クラス(3-4歳児クラス)
9月は五感について学び、ハンズオンのアクティビティーをたくさん取り入れました。

Robby Rabbit Class (3 and 4-year-olds)
We learned about the 5 senses, and did many hands on activities using our senses.

ディーディーディア•クラス(4-6歳児クラス)
恐竜というテーマに添って、紙で火山を作りました。酢や炭酸を混ぜて実際に噴火(?)させた時は、みんな大喜びでした。

Dee Dee Deer Class (4, 5 and 6-year-olds)
Under our theme of “Dinosaurs”, we made a paper-mache volcano. Everyone was thrilled when we mixed baking soda and vinegar to make the volcano erupt!

避難訓練 Disaster Drill
9月1日の「防災の日」にちなみ、ビーンストークでも避難訓練を行いました。実施する前にあらかじめ学習しておいたため、初参加のお友達も誰も泣かず上手にできました！

In ordinance with Disaster Preparedness Day on September 1st, we had a disaster drill. We studied about what was going to happen before the alarms went off, and first-timers did not cry and were able to complete the drill.

お月見団子作り Making Moon Viewing Dumplings
毎年行っているお月見団子作りでは、ベテランのディーディーさんが大活躍でした。あんこやきな粉をまぶして、みんなたくさん食べました。

Our veteran dumpling makers in Dee Dee Deer class were very helpful at our annual Moon Viewing party. Everyone ate a lot of dumplings sprinkled with kinako and red bean paste.

天白公園 Bus Trip to Tenpaku Park
お天気の良い日には公園にでかけます。思いっきり遊んでお友達とよりいっそう仲良くなります!

We have been having lovely weather, so we took a trip to the park. Playing together outside helps our bodies and our friendships grow stronger.

2012サマースクールレポート

楽しかった夏休みも終わり、ビーンストークにも2学期がやってきました。本日は、ここにサマースクールの様子をアップします。

今回はジェネラルテーマとして、生き物全体を取り上げ、毎週カテゴリー別に学習していきました。子供たちは各セッションのテーマに添ったアクティビティーにチャレンジし、興味を広げ知識を増やしていきました。

今年も体験型のアクティビティーが多く、実験もたくさんやりました。

動物たちに会いに、スクールトリップにも行きました。

遠方からのお友達には、「また来年も会いましょう」と約束してさよならしました。本当にまた来年会えますように！

2012 Summer School Report
Our fun days of summer vacation have come to an end, and the second semester at Beanstalk International School has begun. Today, we would show you some of the fun things we did during Summer School!

This year, our broad theme was “animals” and every week we studied a different category of animal. The children were challenged by all the activities we did in each section, and many of them developed a new interest in animals.

We did a lot of hands-on activities and some experiments as well.

We also went on some school trips to see animals and learn more about them.

As the children said goodbye to our their friends, they all promised each other “See you next year!”. We hope everyone can meet their Summer School friends next year, too!

新年度が始まりふた月もすると、新入生も落ち着きが出て、楽しくお通いいただけるようなりました。5月に入ってから梅雨いりまでの数週間は、スクールトリップや避難訓練など、ぜひ晴れの日に実施しておきたいことがいっぱいです。

本日は、年に一度全園児一緒にでかけるZoo tripと、クラスそれぞれで実施する春の遠足、キンダーの園児が頻繁に通う天白公園トリップの様子をアップいたしました。

ビーンストークでは折を見て、万一の非常時に対応できるよう、スクール全体で避難訓練を実施いたします。初めてのおともだちは、泣き出したり戸惑ったりしていますが、年中、年長のベテランさんは落ち着いて対処ができるようになりました。

Two months have passed since the start of the new school year, and all the students are relaxed and having fun at school. From the beginning of May until the start of the rainy season, we are trying to get outside as much as we can on sunny days!

We have been on field trips- everyone went to Higashiyama Zoo together.

The older classes have been on a few trips by themselves as well- we went to Aichi Bokujou and The Retro Train Museum. We have also ridden the city bus to Tenpaku Park!

We also held an emergency drill in May- this is a necessity for life here in Japan. Some of our newest students cried- it was their first emergency drill- but the older students were able to complete the drill quickly and efficiently.
