今年も毎年恒例のスプリングスクールが開校し、名古屋市内外から大勢の子供たちが集まってくれました。
We have been having a great time at spring school this year!
今年は「ファーブル博士から学ぼう、楽しい昆虫の世界」をメインテーマとし、毎日身近な虫から珍しい昆虫までを楽しく学んでいます。
Studying about bugs is so interesting. All the students are learning a lot and making tons of new friends.
ビーンストークの周りは桜の花でいっぱいになり、春の景色を堪能できます。一番小さなちびっ子クラスも年長者に連れられ公園までお散歩し、春うららかな日を楽しみました。
We have spent a lot of time outdoors, and even the youngest have been able to walk to the park with us.
3月21日はお庭でパーべキューをして、ホットドッグやマカロニ&チーズをお腹いっぱいになるまでいただきました!
We had a barbeque and everyone helped out. The hot dogs were great!
お天気にも恵まれ、天白公園での昆虫観察や、アウトドアプレイもエンジョイすることができました。

そして、今回のメインイベントとして、日本最古の昆虫博物館を訪れ、名和館長よりレクチャーを受けました。興味深い昆虫に関するお話を伺ったあとは、ロープウェイで山頂にまで行き、展望レストランでランチを楽しみました。
….and we went all the way to Gifu, to the Nawa Insect Museum.
The head of the museum, Mr. Nawa, gave us an interesting lecture on studying insects.
We rode the ropeway all the way up the mountain and had lunch on top.
楽しかったスプリングスクールも残すところあと2日となり、遠方から参加のお友達とはお別れが迫っています。「夏にまた会おうね！」と子どもたち同士で約束している姿は、とても可愛らしくフレンドシップの大切さを改めて感じます。
We still have a few days left, and will make them fun and memorable, too. Hope to see you here this summer!
