We had a great time on our trip to the Tenpaku Fire Station!

Firefighters are a special kind of superhero who can keep us safe and there is danger around, whether it be fires floods or earthquakes.

Today at Tenpaku Fire Station they really showed us what they can do.

At the end of our trip, one of the firefighters asked “Who wants to be a firefighter?” …and everyone raised their hands!

Afterwards, we had a great time playing at Tenpaku Park!

Then, divided up into our classes and either took a bus or walked all the way back to Beanstalk.

What a fun day!

This years Winter School’s theme is about our everyday heroes.

Today we learned about Engineers.

We see engineering everywhere in our everyday lives helping us in our daily activites.

For children, it is important to turn their imagination and fantasy into something that is tangible and useful for one day we might see their awesome creation.

While mochi is enjoyed year-round, it is particularly popular during the New Year’s holiday when families come together.

For winter school we had the chance to do karate with Mr. Naoi who is a professional teacher, afterwards everyone had fun watching mochitsuki.

And we all shared some delicious dumplings for dessert.

Our school is only as strong as the families that support it, and we are lucky to have the best.

Now we are proud to present our drumming act of the Christmas Concert!

All older students got a chance to show off their drum skills on the big stage.

From classical, techno to rock with lots of costume changes in between, it is a concert to be remembered.

An early and very merry Christmas to everyone!

We held our Christmas Concert today.

The children put so much hard work into this day- the decorations they made, hours of practice, not to mention so many costume changes!

We were so happy to see their smiles as they sang and danced for an audience of family and friends.

Our Christmas concert has finally arrived.

Everyone is very excited.

The children can’t wait to show off their performances.

They also prepared some really nice decorations, so be sure to take a look around the concert hall.

The rainbow is a sign of hope and new beginnings.

It reminds us that things will soon be better and brighter.
