Annual Zoo Trip.

We had beautiful weather for our annual zoo trip!

Missy Mouse class attended with teachers, parents and grandparents, too!

Robby and Deedee classes enjoyed the day just with teachers and friends.

We were careful to follow the rules and practice good hygiene and social distancing as we made our way around the park.

We saw lots of different animals, some from the Zoo-phonics alphabet, too.

Everyone got so many marks on their animal trackers!

We can’t wait to go back and see our animal friends again.

We love animals.

All around the world, children love animals!

Our monthly theme for May is “animals” and learning about our four-legged, two-legged, and no-legged friends is getting us so excited for our annual trip to the zoo!

What is your favorite animal?

Watch you grow.

The children like watching the caterpillars move around and explore; they are amazed at how rapidly they grow, and they can hardly control their delight when the catterpillar changes its color from black to green!

Seeing this amazing transformation up close and personal is an unforgettable experience that every child should have.

An Early Boy’s Day Celebration.

We celebrated an early Boy’s Day at Beanstalk today.

Boys’ Day is a holiday that celebrates how our children have grown so big and healthy in the past year.

All the boys dressed their best for a special photo shoot- see how big we have grown!

We celebrated by having a special snack of kashiwa-mochi and of course, decorating the school with lots of Koinobori (carp windsocks.)

Carp are strong fish who can swim in any river, and according to legends even up waterfalls!

We hope that our boys grow up strong and resilient just like the carp.

Game On!

We began our soccer class for the new school year last week.

We all missed to play soccer again.

Everyone gave it their all in the warm-up and was looking forward to playing against each other and demonstrating their increased abilities.

We will continue to do our best to boost our skills!

Ballet Class.

This year we have a new after-school activity: ballet class!

Our first class was last Friday.

Both boys and girls enjoyed their time learning the basics with our two ballet teachers.

Learning to move our bodies in different ways helps grow both our muscles and our minds!

Sunflowers.

Sunflowers are known for evoking a feeling of positivity because of their large, yellow blooms.

They stand tall—taller than many other garden blooms—and always seem to perk up our moods.

Scooping up the dirt, placing the seeds in the pots and pouring the water all take fine motor control and strength.

Thank you to our little gardeners for helping us plant the sunflowers.

We can’t wait to see them bloom.
