Slime Time!
Galaxy slime is one of the most remarkable and most visually stunning slimes out there!
It’s made with clear glue, glitter glue and borax.
We just have to mix them all!
Check out these photos of our children having fun making a galaxy slime!
Kagamigahara Air and Space Museum.
Kagamigahara Air and Space museum was so much fun!
After a fun and energetic bus ride, we arrived to learn all about the history of aircraft, from the first planes in 1919, to the very latest space technology!
Airplanes, helicopters, shuttles and rockets- which was your favorite?
Afterwards, we headed to Inuyama for a yummy lunch of miso dengaku, oden, and rice balls.
Watch out for our “miso mouths”!
Then we boarded the bus back to Beanstalk for our next adventure!
Nagashi Somen.
A day of summery fun was had at Beanstalk today!
We started with a visit from our gym teacher to get some exercise- indoors, due to the “extreme” heat warning.
Then, we all tried our best to smash open some big, lovely watermelons.
After that, we had a delicious lunch of somen and various sides, and the watermelon from earlier! Yum!
Although we weren’t able to have a true nagashi somen experience due to coronavirus precautions, we did have lots of fun practicing for next year.
Everyone did great catching the yarn sliding down the noodle water slide.
Calendar Showing.
A daily schedule on the calendar enables our kids to begin comprehending time and comfortably use the vocabulary that goes along with it and even teaches number recognition and fundamental literacy skills.
Our children ages from two to three, enjoyed this summer school even more since they created and decorated their own calendar, which adds a unique touch.
Please wait while we add more months of fun and learning.
Sand Art.
How do you feel when you go to the beach?
We had a pleasant day at Gamagori Laguna.
Walking down the shore was soothing thanks to the calming sea breezes.
And we also made sand art. Sand art is more than just a form of creativity.
It is soothing to the touch and helps relieves anxiety.
Children explore color and learn what occurs when it is jumbled together through colorful sand art.
It was a very lovely day!
Soccerball Fun Match.
Now more than ever we need to keep our body strong and on the move.
Last week we had our summer soccer day in our school gym.
We had our windows open and Mr. Hiroshi limits team to 3 so we don’t get crowded while playing soccer.
Everyone had lots of fun! Even our 2-3 years old tried their very best kicking, throwing and catching!
The Science Museum.
Today was our trip to the Science Museum!
We had so much fun riding on the bus with our teachers and friends.
At the planetarium, we learned all about the planets and constellations.
We had fun trying out all the hands-on exhibits, too!
Everything from big things like planets to tiny germs- we saw and learned so much today.
The Galaxy
In Deedee deer class, things are getting spacey!
We learned all about the solar system, and then made our own galaxies.
From ancient times, we have made our calendars based on the location of planets in the sky.
We had so much fun painting and deciding where to place the sun and the eight planets.
“The Calendar”
A rainy day on the first day of Summer School!
For this year our theme is “The Calendar”
People of ancient times based their calendars on the most obvious regular events they knew—the changing positions of the Sun, Moon, and Stars.
Astronomical events, seasons and a lot more.
Today we had lots of activities based on our theme.
And we also made cool crafts of a snow tree and the sun.
What a fun day!
