新緑の美しい4月を迎え、慌ただしく過ぎ去った2012年度3学期のイベントを振り返りたいと思います。
Our third semester has passed in the blink of an eye, and it’s already April! Let’s take a look back on our third semester activities.
Winter School in January ・ 12月、１月のウィンタースクール
Winter sports をテーマに掲げ様々なアクティビティーを導入し、最終日にはBeanstalk Winter Olympicを実施しました。
Our theme this year was Winter Sports, and we did a lot of sports-related activities culminating in the Beanstalk Winter Olympics.
February Activities ・ ２月のイベント
節分&バレンタイン
2月の初旬には節分の恵方巻きを作り、全員でいただきました。外国人のお友達にとっては初めての巻き寿司作りで、最初は戸惑っていました。しかし、みんな自分で作ったお寿司をすっかり気に入った様子で、最後にはおかわりのリクエストもありました。。
Setsubun and Valentine’s Day
At the beginning of February, we celebrated Setsubun. All the classes made eho-maki, thick sushi rolls. It was the first time for a lot of our foreign students to make and eat sushi, but many friends were able to roll it very well by the end of lunch time, and even had seconds and thirds!
バレンタインデイにはトフィーを作り、パパやママへプレゼントしました。
On Valentine’s Day, we made toffee with all the classes, and gave it to our parents.
スポーツデイ
天白スポーツセンターにて、毎年恒例の運動会を開催しました。保護者参加のゲームやマーチングフラッグなどのパフォーマンスで盛り上がり、チーム対抗ゲームではパパ、ママも大興奮！一日中熱戦が繰り広げられました。
Sports Day
We hold our Sports Day every year at the Tenpaku Sports Center. All the families watched the children march and perform their songs, flag twirling and dancing. We divided the school into teams, and the parents and guardians participated in many games. It was an enjoyable and exciting day for everyone involved.
March Activities ・ ３月のイベント
おひな祭り
おだいり様とおひな様の工作を作り、ひなあられを食べお節句を祝いました。
Hina Matsuri– Girls’ Festival
We made crafts with O-hina-sama, O-dairi-sama, and plum blossoms. We ate hina-arare crackers for snack to celebrate the festival.
イヤーエンドパーティー
3/19には、2012年度最後のイヤーエンドパーティーを盛大に実施しました。ポトラック形式のランチパーティーでは、美味しそうなお料理がいっぱい並び子供たちも大喜び！園児によるパフォーマンスは最後を締めくくるにふさわしい大盛り上がり大会でエンディングとなりました。
Year-end Party
On March 19th, our 2012 schol year came to and end and we had a fun Year-end Party. We had a pot-luck style lunch; all the dishes our families brought looked so delicious. The children ate a lot of yummy food and then gave a rousing performance.
一年間共に過ごしたお友達との別れや、新しい先生との出会いなど思い出に残る一日となりました。来年もますます充実した毎日をお過ごしいただけますよう教師スタッフ一同ベストを尽くします！どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
We had to say goodbye to one of our favorite teachers, and met some new teachers as well! It was a memorable day. Everyone will try hard to make next year the best ever!
2013 Spring School ・ 2013年度スプリングスクール
春の訪れと共に、ビーンストークにもスプリングスクールピリオドがやって来ました。
今回は「健康な毎日を過ごすため」をテーマに睡眠や食事•運動の大切さを学び、将来自己を管理する事の重要性を唱えました。もちろん毎日オールイングリッシュの環境で過ごすことにより、お子様の英語力には磨きがかかり、様々なアクティビティーを通しお友達の輪も広がりました。
Along with the spring flowers, Spring School has come once again to Beanstalk. This time, our theme was “Living Healthily”. We are learning about the importance of sleep, nutrition, and exercise, and the need to control these factors by yourself as you grow up. Of course, each day has been spent in an all-English environment, and because of this the children are able to hone their speaking skills and meet many new friends through fun daily activities.
