Let’s get to know the animals.

This months theme is about animals.

And our recent zoo visit enabled the children to learn about animals effectively, foster cognitive development and promote empathy and compassion.

Observing and discussing animals create an interest in conservation and the realization that animals too have feelings and emotions.

Check out some of their cute photos with the zoo animals!

Zoo Day.

We had a great time on our annual trip to Higashiyama Zoo!

From the morning it was hot and sunny, so we made sure to take plenty of water breaks as we trekked around seeing animals from all over the world.

Big and small, fuzzy and scaly, we love them all! We ate our packed lunches with our classmates and teachers, and then were ready for another round.

Finally it was pick-up time, when the students excitedly told their parents all about the animals they saw.

Thanks for joining us for a great day!

Children’s Day 2023

Boys’ Day is a holiday that celebrates how our children have grown so big and healthy in the past year.

We celebrated by having a special snack of kashiwa-mochi and of course, decorating the school with lots of Koinobori (carp windsocks.)

We hope that our boys grow up strong and resilient just like the carp.
