Sign Language.

Our theme at Spring School this year is diversity, and that means much more than where we are from or the color of our hair.

We were so lucky to have two Japanese Sign Language speakers come to Beanstalk and share their knowledge and experience with us.

Everyone really enjoyed learning how to speak only using their hands!

It was a lot of fun guessing what each sign meant and then signing along.

Toyota Stadium.

What an exciting field trip to Toyota Stadium today!

We got to see the field, seats, locker rooms, and more!

It was so much fun to kick the soccer ball in the warm up room just like a real professional soccer player!

After our visit to the stadium, we enjoyed a Japanese style Hanami picnic lunch at Kuragaike Park.

What a lovely day to have a picnic under the cherry blossoms.

Cultural Awareness.

It’s so important and fun to learn about different countries and cultures around the world!

By learning how people are different than us, we can gain a better appreciation of the world we live in.

Who knows, our Beanstalk students might just even travel to these countries some day!
