The World Children’s Art Musem In Okazaki

We had a great time on our field trip today!

Everyone woke up bright and early to ride the bus together from Beanstalk.

Our first stop was The World Children’s Art Musem In Okazaki, where the teachers there helped us make cool sponge sculptures.

Next, we took advantage of the good weather and made a stop at Higashi Park to enjoy a picnic lunch of curry- yum!

We even made some big new friends along the way.

A Great Soccer Team!

One of our theme for this years Spring School is self affirmation.

Playing soccer encourages good sportsmanship and one’s love for sports.

Complimenting our children and acknowledging their effort is a big confidence booster.

No matter how insignificant or small.

Today we really enjoyed playing soccer with Mr. Hiroshi and our friends on a beautiful sunny day.

We are a great soccer team!

Miss Mouse Sports Day.

Sports Day has finally come for Missy Mouse class!

We were happy to invite Missy students and families to Sports Day in our very own gym!

Although we had an unfortunately delay, we were able to use it to our advantage- not only showing off our sports skills, but also lots of our great English and classroom skills at circle time.

Everyone really did their best. Great job, Missy Mouse class!

Class of 2021.

Congratulations, Graduates!!

Thank you for spending four years (or more!) with us.

Those tiny kids we met back then are now smart, creative, and brave big kids!

Good luck with all your future adventures in elementary school.

We are so proud of you.

Earthquake and Stranger Danger Drill.

Keeping our students safe and sound is very important.

With monthly emergency drills, we learn what to do in case of natural disasters such as fire and earthquakes, as well as what to do when the danger is other people, such as when a stranger approaches.

When we can keep a cool head and follow teacher’s instructions, even scary situations can be handled well.

We sympathize with all the victims of the historic earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan’s northeastern region in 2011.

Our hearts go out to all those who were affected by this terrible natural disaster.

Hello Insects.

Our curious children are in love with science, everything from the very little to the very big!

This month we are learning all about the tiny world of insects.

It’s so interesting to use tools like magnifying glasses to see their parts, and then draw what we see.

We’ve also used what we learned about real insects to make our very own insects, too!

Final Game.

Today was the last soccer class for our friends in DD2.

We have learned so much about teamwork and being good sports.

Thank you, Mr. Hiroshi, for teaching us these important lessons and having fun with us as we played soccer.

Scroll for our first soccer classes- Look how much we have grown!

Girls’ Day.

We celebrated Hina Matsuri, or Girls’ Day.

All the girls at Beanstalk dressed up in their favorite dresses for a photo shoot with beautiful seasonal flowers.

We made some crafts featuring and enjoyed a special snack of hina arare crackers, too.

Let’s hear it for the Girls!
