We’ve officially entered into the spookiest season of them all. With Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to start decorating our jack-o’-lanterns.

The weather has been really nice the past couple of days and we thought we’d go outside and enjoy the Fall sunshine.

It was great getting outside and playing. We found some leaves, can you see the different shades of red?

After lunch we gathered to start the pumpkin carving!

Off comes the top.

Look at all of pulp.

It was great fun digging out all the pulp!

Pumpkin carving is a great opportunity to decorate for Halloween while letting your personality shine through. Will you carve another creepy face this year? The classic toothy grin? Something unique that reflects your personal interests?

We are excited for the Halloween Parade this Friday. Let’s go Trick or Treating!

We recently went to Tempaku Sports Center to practice some of the games and races for the up coming sports day.

The older students arrived in the morning for soccer practice.

They played a few games before having lunch there.

Our younger classes (2-4 year olds) came to join them in the afternoon.

They walked all the way down from the school!

Look at those nice organized lines.

Time for a drink after all that walking and prepare for some exciting events.

We practiced our opening parade. Each of the children should raise their arms up when marching. Looks like they need a little more practice…

Our main event was racing and everyone was excited.

Everyone is really looking forward to sports day. It’s going to be a great day.

We recently took the photos for height and weight.

The students also had some photos took together.

These photos will be nice to look back on when they get older.

We think the students look very cute.

They really enjoyed doing the group photos!

Our older students have been taking soccer lessons for the past 2 years.

This past week we went to Tempaku Sports Center.

They have really improved their soccer skills.

We really enjoyed playing in the big gym and we are looking forward to coming here again for our sports day.

We’ve been having so much fun getting ready for sports day and enjoying time outside.

We’ve been trying our hand at some different sports.

Even our smallest students have been enjoying fun in the sunshine!

We’re looking forward to many more sunny days ahead.

The students have been going out more now the weather is cooler and it’s been lots of fun.

We are really happy to go the park and play.

We have also enjoyed going into the Beanstalk garden.

It’s the start of a new season and that means cooler weather, warmer clothes and the changing of the leaves.

The students have been helping us clean up the Beanstalk garden. We cleared the vegetable patch and got rid of those pesky weeds!

There was a lot of bugs hiding in all that long grass.

We took down the summer decorations, and we’ve started to make new ones ready to put up around the school.

We have also been learning seasonal clothing.

We will be going outside a lot more to enjoy the cooler weather.

We had a Tsukimi (moon-veiwing) party this week here at Beanstalk.

Tsukimi or Otsukimi, which means moon-viewing, are Japanese festivals honoring the autumn moon.

We made dango to celebrate Tsukimi.

We had to clean our hands before making the dango! It’s important that we are especially careful right now.

It was a team effort to work all that dough. We added water to the flour and rolled pieces of it into balls. It was really fun.

We made a lot of dango!

We got to enjoy eating the dango and it was very yummy. Some students really enjoyed it and asked for lots more.
