卒園式 Graduation Ceremony and Year End Lunch Party

去る3月18日、ビーンストークでは2013年度の卒園式を執り行いました。当日の朝方は、長い間机を並べたお友達や教師たちとのお別れや、新生活への不安を表すような小雨混じりのお天気でしたが、式の進行と同時にお天気も回復し、終了のころには晴れ間も見え、まるで子どもたちの明るい未来を予感させてくれるような一日となりました。

We celebrated our Deedee Deer 2 Class’ graduation on March 18th. After their graduation ceremony, we had a potluck lunch with the entire school. What a fun way to end the year. We hope to see our graduates again soon, and wish them nothing but the best.

卒園式後のランチパーティーでは、在園生とご家族も集まり、持ち寄りのお料理で楽しいひとときを過ごしました。

スタッフ一同、皆さまの明るい将来を心から願っております。

フェアウェル遠足 Farewell Trip

卒園式の前には、年長クラスのDeeDee Deer さんのみで、お別れ遠足に行きました。これから一人で登校する際、交通事故にあわないように、交通ルールのお勉強と実地訓練です。学習のあとは、遊具で遊び忘れられない機会となりました。

Before our graduation ceremony, we took a farewell trip with only the Deedee Deer Class. We went to Toyota Safety School to learn how walk to school safely, as our graduates will be walking to elementary school next year!

ガールズドレスアップデイ　Girl’s Dress-up Day

お雛祭りの日は、今年初めての企画にトライしました。この日女の子はドレスアップして登園するという志向です。中にはおばあちゃま手作りのドレスや海外のおじいちゃまからのプレゼントされたドレス、またお着物で来てくれたお友達もいました。お子様のご成長を祝う機会は、改めて子や孫を思う保護者の気持ちの大きさに気付かされる機会でもあります。園のイベントにもお手間をかけてくださる保護者の方には頭が下がります。心からありがとうございました。

We held a special dress-up day for all the girls at school on Hina-matsuri, also known as Girls’ Day, this year. Everyone was so beautiful! We crafted our own hina dolls and had traditional hina-arare and fugashi as a snack.

スポーツデイ　Sports Day

2月16日の日曜日は、待ちに待った運動会の日でした。総勢150名以上の方がスポーツウェアに身を包み、アクティブな一日を過ごしました。
We welcomed over 150 students and family members to our annual Sports Day this year! A fun and active day was had by all.

今年から始めた保護者のリレーでは、大胆に転倒する方もお見えでしたが、最後まで諦めない姿勢を示してくださり、見ている方はたいへん感動しました。グリーンチームとパープルチームに別れて、ボランティアのお母様がたが作ってくださった応援バナーが見守る中、精一杯頑張りました!

Valentines Day

バレンタインデーのスナック作りは、毎年楽しみなイベントです。今年は誰にあげるのかな？
Everyone looks forward to making candy on Valentines Day. Who did you give your chocolates to this year?

Setsubun
節分には恵方巻きを作り、みんなで今年の恵方を向いてお寿司をかじりました。

We made sushi rolls, and looked to the “lucky direction”, eating our sushi in one bite without speaking! Then, we threw beans at some “monsters” to ensure good luck for the coming year.
