Halloween Parade 2010

On Friday October 29th, we held our 4th annual Beanstalk Halloween Parade.

This year the staff decided to go the traditional Halloween route and wear scary movie character costumes. Our scary characters included The Mummy, Sally from The Nightmare before Christmas, The Headless Man, Dracula, Wolfman, a devil, The Scream guy and …….. a penguin.

As soon as everybody arrived in their gorgeous costumes we got right down to our lunch party.

After we all finished eating we moved to the gym for the much awaited Halloween dance performance. The highlight had to be the production of “Ghostbusters” by Robby Rabbit and Deedee Deer class. They were a great inspiration for the Missy Mouse class and we look forward to seeing what they can come up with next year.

Each class spent a lot of time practicing songs and dances for a Halloween performance in front of all the parents and their hard work certainly showed. The mothers and fathers as well as the teachers were all surprised at how well everybody remembered the words and the dance moves. Great work everybody!!

After the dance performance we took to the streets and went Trick or Treating around the neighborhood. Our cute costumes drew a lot of attention from everybody who saw us.

Along the Halloween parade route, we stopped by Kotobukiso, a local senior citizens home, like we do each year, and put on a Halloween performance for the friendly residents.

They really seemed to be excited to see us and really got into the dances and songs.

Our next big event will be the Christmas party and the children are already hard at work practicing their new songs and dance moves. We look forward to seeing you then!
