Sensory Words.

Similar to adults, children learn and retain important information by using their senses.

During sensory play, children are encouraged to use scientific exploration to investigate and solve problems as they play.

As a result, they absorb sensory information which helps prompt brain development.

Last months theme was about the 5 senses.

We used our sight to look at books, touch to explore bugs, listened to the sound of our musical instruments and a fun “smell and guess the taste” game using our individual mini cups.

And afterwards a worksheet activity!

Tanabata Japanese Songs.

For our Tanabata finale we sang Japanese songs – Kaeru no Gasshou- The Frog’s Chorus and Tanabata-sama, a traditional folk song.

Pianica, xylophone, castanets, tambourine, drums and even guiro – children learned various instruments which they all played together.

Even our 2 years old Missy Mouse class did their very best singing altogether.

Thank you to everyone who came and we hope you enjoyed all the performances!

Tanabata English Song Performances.

This year, our theme for Tanabata was “Rainbows!”

Even if it rains, a rainbow will soon appear- a symbol of hope.

Students learned different songs about rainbows and colors to perform for their parents and families.

We hoped everyone had a great time watching the performances of all the classes.

Tanabata 2022.

Today we had our Tanabata Concert here at Beanstalk.

Everyone came dressed so nicely in their summery yukata and jinbei!

And what Tanabata would be complete without writing a wish?

Before they sang their songs, students put lots of thought into writing their wishes and hung them on bamboo branches decorated throughout the school.

We were lucky to have fine weather- that means the star-crossed lovers’ wish to meet came true.

We hope everyone’s wishes come true, too!

Let’s Get Ready for Tanabata!

Tanabata is a festival that is celebrated every year in July.

When this time of year comes around, people write their wishes on strips of paper and hang them on bamboo trees, along with decorations.

You can see this almost everywhere.

And this year we are all thrilled to be able to perform in front of our parents!

We also made special crafts for decoration.

We can’t wait to show everyone!

Parents – Teacher Conferences.

Conducting effective parents-teacher conferences boosts family involvement and help promote positive outcomes for children, parents and school.

We are pleased to be able to communicate any concerns and progress of our children to their beloved parents.

We greatly appreciate your time and we are looking forward to having the next conference!

Open House 2022.

Students and staff members alike were so happy to welcome our Beanstalk parents to school for Open House House today!

It was such a fun opportunity for teachers, students and parents to meet and talk in an informal environment.

Thank you to all our visitors, from little to big!

Observation Day.

Our preschool class have begun their first semester of class observation.

We’ve been amazed at how much our kids have grown in recent months.

We can’t wait to watch them progress.

Naturally, we are grateful to everyone of our parents for assisting us in developing the abilities of our children.

We hope you enjoyed learning about their school lives.
