Summer School 2017 Report pt. 3

We had a great time at Summer School!

Our second half of Summer School began with learning about “Autumn” and a field trip to go grape picking for our older students!

We picked lots of yummy grapes to eat.

After eating, we played in the river trying to catch small fish.

Back at school, we did a lot of experiments….

Made some fun seasonal crafts…

And of course, played outside with our friends!

Our last field trip was to the Nagoya Science Museum!

We hope to see you at Summer School next year!

2016 Summer School Applications Open! サマースクール申し込み受付5/30よりスタート

ビーンストークでは、インターナショナルプリスクールの夏休み期間を利用し、下記の日程においてサマースクールを開校いたします。つきましては、5月30日より申し込み開始とさせていただき、定員になり次第締め切ります。

対象スクール内部生2歳〜、
外部の方は3歳以上母子分離ができている方〜小6まで

2-3歳 & 幼児7/19〜8/30 　全21日間 (8/31スポット預かり有り）
小学生7/21-〜8/31 全20日間
全日参加者は指定日以外の延長保育料をサービスさせていただく特典あり！(English Speakerに限る）

今年のサマースクールテーマは「いろいろな植物」とし、全21日間を通じ様々な植物について学びます。毎日行われるZoo-phonicsの時間は、お子様の「読む力」と「書く力」を育て、　1日を通し英語でコミュニケーションをとることや英語でアクティビティーを実践することは「聴く力」、「話す力」を育てます。これらの4技能（「読む力」•「書く力」•「聴く力」•「話す力」）をバランスよく育てることにより、お子様の英語力を総合的に伸ばし定着させます。

1st -7/19〜7/22 –変わった植物 : Strange Plants
7/21 多肉植物鉢植え作り@ビーンストークインストラクター指導あり。
自分で植えた鉢をひと鉢ずつお持ち帰り。

2nd- 7/25〜7/29 – 身の回りの樹木 : Plants Around Us
7/27瀬戸市海上の森にて名古屋環境大学によるレクチャー
内容：「身近な樹木の見分け方」と題し、里山に生える身近な樹木の
観察を中心に、樹木の名前、見分け方、人との関わりについて学ぶ。
地域の自然に愛着や関心を持つきっかけ作り。

3rd – 8/1〜8/5 – いろいろな環境で育つ植物 : Plants in Different Places
8/5「フルーツパーク」ブルーベリー狩りジャム作り
ブルーベリーでジャム作り体験。昼食&フレッシュジュース付

4th – 8/22〜8/26 – 何かに使われている植物 : Useful Plants
8/22　デンパークトリップ　花の万華鏡制作パン焼き体験
お昼は焼きたてのパンのランチ付き。万華鏡お持ち帰り。

5th- 8/29,30 – 食べられる植物 : Edible Plants
モクモクファームトリップ・モクモク英語合宿詳細は別紙参照
イングリッシュスピーカー限定

トリップに行けない2-3歳、スクール希望の4歳はスクールにてお預かり。

8/31は幼児以下も希望者はスポットでお預かり可能です。（幼児以下の方の全日コースは8/30までです）

今年もいくつかトリップをご用意し、テーマ学習は外部インストラクターに依頼するなど、より専門的で充実した内容をご提供できるよう準備万端整えてお子様をお迎えいたします。毎年愛知県の内外から大勢のお子様にお越しいただく　プログラムですが、通常のプリスクールと同様レベル分けを徹底しています。各レベルに応じたアプローチで、ご参加いただく皆さま全員にとって実り多いサマーになることをお約束します！

Summer School Report part 4

9月に入り、新しいセメスターが始まりましたが、本日のポストではサマースクールの後半から最終までを振り返ります。
Here at Beanstalk, we have finished summer school in August and our new fall semester has begun. Let’s take a little break and look back at all the fun we had during the last weeks of summer school.

1st から4thセッションまでを通して、今回はクラシックストーリーをテーマにしてきました。お盆明けの3rd セッションではJourney，4thセッションではFantasy Storyを取り上げ、あらすじに添ったアクティビティーを実施しました。
We finished learning about our books and did lots of fun activities!

Children learned not only about literature by reading a new book each week, but also subjects such as science and math.

エネルギーいっぱいのキッズ達にはフィジカルなアクティビティーもたくさん用意しました。そのひとつがビーンストークではすっかりお馴染みの直井先生による空手の指導です。
Of course, we had plenty of movement, including karate class.

Everyone really gave it their best try! Osu!

ペインティングや工作もたくさん取り入れました。
We did a lot of painting and crafts….

and practiced our motor skills with funny games!

1st,2ndセッションではモリコロパークや元気村、そして3rdセッションではセントレア空港へトリップに行ったことは、こちらのブログでもご報告済みですが、最後にもうひとつ。天白公園に市バスを利用して行ってきました。その間、お留守番の2-3才児クラスMissy Mouseさんは、いつも他のクラスが使っている広いジムでのアクティビティーを楽しみました。
No trip? No problem! Missy Mouse class had a great time playing in the gym while the older children were away.

そして、幼児と小学生のお友達は、天白公園トリップを思う存分エンジョイしました。
and the kindergarten and Elementary students all had fun with their friends at the park.

We had a picnic lunch all together to end the day.

長いようで、あっという間に終わってしまう夏休みですが、今年も仲良くなったお友達とのお別れを惜しみつつSee you next year!!
We hope to see everyone again during Winter School!

Summer School Report 3

今回はビーンストークサマースクール後半のメインイベント、「セントレア滑走路ツアー」の様子をお伝えします。通常では入れないバックヤードやランウェイを見られるというので、子供たちはもちろん引率のスタッフも楽しみにしていました。
We had a great time during our second half of summer school, too. We took an exciting trip to the airport and got a behind-the-scenes tour! Come along and join us!

空港へ着いたら、まずクイーン・アリスでランチを摂り、これからのお楽しみに備えます。みんなお行儀よく、レストランの方にも褒めていただきました。テーブルからは、滑走路や飛行機が目の前に見え、これから参加するツアーへの期待が高まります!
First, we had lunch at the airport’s restaurant. It was so yummy, and we could see the airplanes taking off and landing. Everyone was on their best behavior and very well-mannered in the restaurant.

ツアー実施前には、控え室で所員さんとの質疑応答の後、セキュリーティーチェックを受けました。きちんと答えられるか緊張しながら、優しいお姉さんの質問に答えます。みんな大きな声で名前と年齢を答え、予め提出してある名簿に間違いがないか、不審者はいないか厳重なチェックが入ります。
Before going on the tour, we listened to the guides and went through a security check. Everyone said their names and ages, and showed the inside of their bags. We want to get on the bus and see the planes!

飛行機の離着陸を滑走路脇の特別なエリアから見ることができました。
We watched the airplanes taking off and landing on the tarmac.

ラッキーにも空港の中にはI-Unit ロボットの展示があり、座ってにっこり写真撮影。
We even got a chance to sit in a real I-Unit robot!

Summer School Report 2 – Summer Camp!

本日は、ビーンストークのサマーイベントとして今年初めて導入された英語合宿の模様をお伝えいたします。
For the first time at Beanstalk summer school, we went on an overnight camping trip. Our goal was to learn about sportsmanship and teamwork, and of course to have a blast camping!

宿泊先の元気村は、緑が多くてとってもきれいです。アウトドアライフを満喫できます!
We stayed at Genki Mura in Asahi-kougen. It was beautiful!

日本家屋のつつじ屋敷には、いろりや五右衛門風呂もありました。
We went to put away our things and relax for a little while in our cabin.

到着後直ぐに施設を見学した後は、センターステージにて早速アクティビティーを開始しました。まずは、チームワークを必要とするゲームです。
After a walk and picnic lunch on the stage, we started our team building games.

夕食は、お肉•シーフード•お野菜と栄養満点のバーベキューです
For dinner that night, we had a barbecue. Teachers cooked and children ate… a lot!

暗くなり始めた頃からキャンプファイアーを開始しました。少し早めのスタートですが、この後はスターウォッチングが待っています。
As it got darker, we moved onto the mainstay of camping- we made a bonfire, and told stories and played games around it.

とても大きな天体望遠鏡で、土星の輪や夏の大三角形を見る事ができました。
And when the bonfire went out, we tried star-watching. We were able to see Saturn through this telescope! We also learned a lot about the constellations that are visible in the summertime.

夜明けにこっそり覗いてみたら、頭と足下が逆さまになっていてびっくり!
Then it was time to go back to our cabins and go to sleep. All the students helped arrange the futons and put the sheets and pillowcases on. They cleaned them up in the morning, too.

次の朝は快晴で、展望台まで一気に上って行きました!
清々しい一日の始まりです。
The next day, we had a brisk morning walk followed by a big breakfast!

お別れの会では一人づつ修了証をもらい、学んだ事をおさらいしました。
At our closing ceremony, all the students received a certificate proving that they are now great team workers.

子供達は合宿期間中、一言も日本語を使わなくても充分リラックスして楽しく過ごす事ができました。チームワークに必要な3つの言葉を胸に刻んで元気村とお別れです。Our three magic words are “Cooporation, Communication, Trust”.

We had a great time at camp! Hope to see everyone again next summer for more outdoor fun.

Summer School Report 1

夏休み中に実施しているサマースクールも、後半にさしかかりました。今回も名古屋市はもとより、愛知県外からもたくさんのお友達が参加してくれています。本日はこちらに前半のトリップや、通常スクールでのご様子を紹介いたします。

We are having a great time here at Beanstalk International School’s Summer School!

暑の間は、お庭にプールを出しておもいっきり遊びます。年長以上のお友達は、近くの市営プールに行きます。

今回のテーマは、「クラシック•ストーリーズ」です。教師達自身も子供のころから親しんできた英語のストーリーを紹介し、それについて学習します。

ミッシーマウスクラス(2〜3才児)Missy Mouse Class

リピーターさんが初めての子に優しくしている姿や、年長者が年少者をいたわっている様子を見ていると、いつも頻繁に接している子供たちの成長に改めて気付かされる瞬間が多々あります。

ロビーラビットクラス(3〜4才児)Robby Rabbit Class

ランチパーティーでは、自分たちで作ったお料理を食べました。当日の献立には、”Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”というストーリーに出てくる、ミートボールスパゲティーを選びました。当日は、とっても美味しく出来上がり、”Can I have seconds,please?”の声が続きました。
We had a lunch party in July, and based our lunch on the book “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”. The students all enjoyed making and eating a lunch based on the humorous book.
